Description

One of 125 copies written and printed by John Randle at the Whittington Press for the May 2004 unveiling of a monument at Bochalt, Belgium, to commemorate his uncle, Leslie Manser's VC action. Tipped in frontispiece photograph of Manser, 2pp appreciation and 2pp transcription of the VC citation of Manser as the first pilot of a Manchester aircraft which took part in the mass raid on Cologne on the night of May 30th 1942. Accompanied by two page MSS letter from Randle to recipient of booklet and related ephemera. Internally all in VG clean and bright order. Printed paper covers are faded however and a little worn to edges, with indentation to rear. Scarce. 4to. Unpaginated. [8pp].
