Author's own copy of large paper edition (275x210mm - larger than some thus attributed), with his bookplate to front pastedown. Also two MSS letters from Tomlins, dated 1847 and 1848 and discussing this publication, fixed with tape to rear of half title. Stock toned, with occasional marking, but in general good order. Map present (unfolded). Corrigenda, addenda and errata slip bound to rear. Gilt to all edges. New endpapers. Original embossed boards, worn to edges and marked to rear with dulled gilt titling to front, rebacked. 4to. 214pp + index.
