Description
ND.c.1913 [WorldCat]. No apparent connection with the Scouting movement apart from the, perhaps opportunistic, title. "Illustrated by the author with 40 photographs direct from wild nature". Stock toned and spotted to block edges and early/late pages but in general good internal order. Endpapers split to rear but holding firm. Prize plate, dated 1914, to front pastedown notes that this book was awarded by the RSPB to Fred Prior in the "Bird & Tree Competition". Pictorial boards incongruously dominated by a squirrel but otherwise in good order, with a little wear to edges, marking to spine and rear. Scarce. 12mo. 158pp
