Third edition of Richard Duppa's biography and, bar some offsetting from plates, in VG order throughout. Includes engraved frontispiece portrait, fold-out letter and MS poetry facsimiles, and three of the four required cartoons to rear, including the large folding Sistine Chapel engraving, but lacking the Battle Of Pisa. Bookplate of Samuel George Smith to front pastedown. Attractive endpapers, toned to edges, with matching marbling to all edges of block. Original leather has been relaid long ago. Diamond tooled front and rear, with four raised bands to spine and leather titlepiece (chipped), all suitably worn but not unpleasantly so. 8vo. xvi, 402pp + list of Duppa's works.
