Description
ND.c.1856. Scarce collection of 22 fables and stories, some translated from Bros Grimm, augmented "with sixty illustrations by eminent artists". Some toning to stock with occasional spotting and marking, but for the most part all is in G+ internal order bar light wear to the leading edges of a couple of pages. Gift inscription, dated 1857, neatly to first blank. Paper-covered boards with colour printed decoration to front, well worn to edges, a little bumped and dulled. Creasing and wear to paper-covered spine. Cited in research but rarely seen for sale. 8vo. Unpaginated.
