A highly original collection of water bird-themed printmaking by 50 artists. Some 70 species of bird are featured, ranging from waders through wildfowl to Kingfishers and seabirds. There are around 320 original prints reproduced in the book, with artists contributing wood engravings, linocuts, collagraphs, woodcuts, screenprints and etchings. Each bird is described, with information on habitat, conservation status, etc. Artists provide their own commentary on the birds and the printmaking process.
