Description

Introduction explains why this edition, thoroughly revised, is far superior to the 1948 edition, itself effectively a reprint of the first which appeared in 1938. To distinguish this from numerous reprints and on-demand copies, the earlier work is titled 'Manual of General Silviculture', while this later edition omits the 'Manual of'. Extensively illustrated with numerous tables, plans, fold-out charts and maps and photographs. All in VG internal order with only some minor marking to the edge of the block, not intruding onto pages. Former owner's neat signature to creased endpapers, these also a little marked. Bound in green cloth, this grubby in places. Titling worn to spine. A companion volume to A Revised Survey Of The Forest Types Of India, also available. 8vo. xxi, 511pp
