Fascinating volume, with extensive appendix detailing ships and expenditures of world navies. Missing one plate (La Bretagne) but otherwise all present and correct. Stock toned but only occasional marking/foxing. Small chips to foot of title and subsequent two pages. Stain to top of block, but this only marginally intrudes onto pages and does not affect text. Former owner's signature (J D Adams, New York, April 29/61) to frontispiece verso. Rebound at some stage in smart blue cloth, lightly bumped, with gilt on red leather titlepiece to spine. 12mo. xvi, 312, 128pp + 6pp publisher's list.
