Scarce and well-illustrated study from Thurston, pioneering engineer and first Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology. Book is based on lectures given there during 1871-72 and extensively revised thereafter. All in general good order. Some pages have minor pencil notation and stock lightly toned throughout.
