Description

First volume of the immediately popular Strand Magazine, featuring a story ('The Voice Of Science') by Conan Doyle, with Sherlock Holmes yet to appear (see Vol.2). Much else of wide ranging interest here however. Bar small loss to head of the half title, and a little minor spotting early and late, all is in VG, clean and bright order. Nice tight binding with all edges of block marbled. Smart red cloth with gilt titling to spine. A couple of minor bumps and spine lightly faded but highly presentable. This is a charity sale for Friends Of Morston Church (reg.1099831). 8vo. 662pp
