Second printing of third edition of Ekwall's masterwork. Laid in is a signed manuscript letter from him dated September 1956, with envelope, to a correspondent enquiring about the origins of the name Putney. All in VG, clean and bright internal order. Minor occasional marking and some toning to endpapers. Light shelfwear to blue boards with bright gilt titling to spine. G+ clipped d/j, a little toned and lightly worn to edges, moreso to spine. 8vo. xlviii, 530pp
