First edition of this first hand account of the wreck of the Medusa, accompanied by pencil illustrations from Philippe Ledoux. No.1559 from an edition of 3,100 copies of which 3,000 were, as here, on Vélin de Renage paper. Light toning to stock, but otherwise all in VG internal order. Paper wraps a little spotted and quiet heavily toned with some wear to head and foot of spine. French language. 8vo. 119pp
