First edition of the remarkable photographic propaganda album presented at the official Olympic Games reception held by the Reich government in Berlin, 1936. Much use of Soviet influenced composition, photo montage, large format spreads and coloured highlighting. Magnificent and repellent. This is an ex-library copy, presented to the Wiener Library (now the Wiener Holocaust Library) in London by noted historian Walter Laqueur, where he was a director. Library stamps and labels to fep, but no other library marking internally. Upper right section appears missing from final fold-out sheet, but otherwise all in good internal order. Small labels to front board and foot of spine. Cloth covered boards are worn, marked and a little shaken. Folio. Unpaginated [260pp].
