Exceptionally scarce and, perhaps surprisingly, well written tale of love and religiously inspired self-improvement. Entirely out of keeping with modern sentiment, but possibly quite radical for its time. ND. c.1900. Prize plate to front pastedown dated 24 Jul 1904. Stock uniformly toned, minor marking, but in general VG order.
