First edition of late Wren novel, exuberantly inscribed by him (and his wife) to fep: "To Mr & Mrs W.E.H. Humphrys wth best wishes for a Happy Xmas. P C Wren. Isabel Wren. Holnicote, Xmas 1940." Scarce thus. Light toning to stock and occasional spotting, but in general all in good internal order. Red cloth with gilt titling to front and spine lightly shelfworn and a little faded to spine. 12mo. 438pp + publisher's ads.
