First edition of Stapledon draft for 'Star Maker' probably written in the 1930s but not discovered until year of publication. At first glance all appears to be in VG order, however book has been exposed to damp at some stage and there is light cockling to later pages and evidence of damp staining to boards and endpapers. Likewise to inside of unclipped d/j, though this not obvious unless removed. 8vo. x, 126pp
