Description
First UK edition, with special preface by Vidal recounting his experiences of "several production disasters in England". Book presents well but on closer inspection has clearly been exposed to damp at some stage in its history, mostly affecting rear board at its base. This does not affect the text which, bar some spotting to the block edge, is clear and clean throughout. Endpapers however are a little marked and moreso blue cloth, which still has bright gilt titling to its faded spine. Good unclipped d/j toned and marled to edges, moreso to rear.
