Second impression of first edition (both December 1912). Remarkable account of Christian Brethren missionary Dan Crawford's 22 years in Central Africa. Well illustrated throughout with photos and colour plates. Stock lightly toned with very occasional marking, but for the most part all in good internal order. Plates showing particularly well. Map endpapers split and front board a little shaken, but all holding well. Edgewear and bumping to black boards with bright gilt decoration and titling. 8vo. 485pp + 18pp index and publisher's ads.
