Description

Memoir of the remarkable Hardwicke Rawnsley, co-founder of the National Trust among much else, written by his widow and signed by her 'Eleanor R' to title page. Frontispiece and eight further plates. Some toning and wear to roughcut page edges, but all in general good internal order. Elaborate and attractive bookplate of William Arthur Sixth Duke Of Portland to front pastedown. Curiously, given this provenance, library label to rear pastedown, but no other signs of library use. Black cloth worn to edges and a little bumped. Gilt titling to spine.8vo. x, 276pp
