Description

Memorial volume for much loved and highly influential Scottish priest James Hamilton who died on November 24th 1867. Hamilton was minister of the Presbyterian Church (aka The Scotch Church) in Regent Square, London. Limited publishing information, but likely printed early in 1868. Includes chapters on his illness and death, and numerous whole and partial sermons and addresses given in his honour. A scarce volume, with no copies listed in library collections. Stock lightly toned with occasional minor marking, but otherwise all in good internal order. Endpapers split at hinges but bindings holding well. Dark blue bevel edged boards, worn to edges and a little marked, moreso to rear, with bright gilt titling to front panel. This is a charity sale for Friends Of Morston Church (reg.1099831). 8vo. 156pp
