Presentation copy, signed with dedication by one of the numerous contributors, Emile Royer and his wide Ninette. Inscription dated 25th December 1915, shortly before publication. Volume is a large collection of articles and images, produced by notable Belgians in thanks to Britain for its support in the (still continuing) First World War. Translators into English include Laurence Binyon, John Buchan, F Anstey and many others. A most attractive collection, with numerous mono and colour plates. Some spotting to edge of rough cut pages, but internally all is clean and bright. Green cloth with bright gilt decoration worn to edges, esp to faded spine which is frayed to edges and has small chip to cloth. 4to. xv, 396pp + plates + publisher's ads.
