Excellent collection of leaflets ad pamphlets bound together in a single volume, covering wide-ranging aspects of Christianity and the relation between church and state, and maintaining a strong antidisestablishmentarian stance throughout. Leaflets are followed by 17 longer publications/booklets mostly dating from the 1880s and reporting speeches etc on similar themes. The effect of all this matter bound together is pleasing, with various typefaces, layouts, and paper covers, nevertheless producing a cohesive whole. Toning to endpapers and reference library plate to front pastedown , but no other evidence of library use. Bound in purple cloth with bright gilt titling, this lightly worn and rather faded to spine. Though the ninth edition, copies are hard to find. 8vo.
