Description
Something of a curiosity - a schoolgirl diary edited (and probably written) by Waldo Sabine, later and better known as author of books on American history. Second edition (1,000 copies) from October 1930 following 500 of the 1st, produced in February. Privately published by Sabine in Harrogate, though some copies of this edition state London. The true name of the school involved, Queen Ethelburga's School Harrogate, has been written in red ink to the text at the first mention of its pseudonym, "St.Mona's School, Sparrington". Apparently this is common to many copies so is presumably the work of Sabine himself. Stock toned with some foxing to earlier pages. Blue boards marked and worn. 12mo. 122pp.
