Description
Exceptionally scarce Nottingham history. Front board detached, but otherwise in good internal order with numerous attractive engraved plates. There is a little worm activity to the title page but the most persistent has given up by p7 of the introduction. Lacks street map and East Prospect of the city engraving. Section from Payne's Register inserted between pp208 and 209. Stock a little toned, some offsetting but only occasional foxing. Interesting chapter on local industry and crafts including stocking manufacture, with engravings of looms, along with everything else that you might expect in such a history, historical, botanical, ecclesiastical, etc. 8vo. 370pp + plates
