Description
Second printing. Curious volume of poetry, self-published by Roberts, which includes proposal for further volumes on a monthly basis "despite the fuel crisis, the paper shortage and the general slow-wittedness of post-war Britain". Perhaps for all of those reasons, these do not seem to have appeared, though at least two other volumes of Roberts' poetry were published (in 1939 and 1947). Back cover harnesses positive comments from TS Eliot ("Undoubtedly an interesting and unusual poet") and Edmund Blunden ("I admire his handling of the long poem") among others. Browning to pages and some rust to staples. card cover show browning to edges, especially to rear. Exceptionally scarce. This is a charity sale on behalf of Friendsw of Morston Church (reg.1099831).
