The study of Roman Hampshire, Wiltshire and Somerset which earned Musgrave a diamond ring from George I in appreciation. In good internal order, with some toning, spotting and corner creases, but generally bright. Fold-out engraved map, and 14 further fold-out engravings, some particularly striking, most bright, strong images. Discreet repair to final plate. Boards are present but detached along with first two blanks. Spine in situ. Bookplate of Glasgow Archaeological Society to front pastedown.
