Second, enlarged edition of Carpenter's most influential book, though only credited as author in copyright line. In good order throughout. Some minor pencil notation. Spotting to edge of block but only rarely intruding onto pages. Signature of Fred. Wicks to fep, likely noted constitutional author. Green cloth lightly worn to edges and a little marked decorated in black with gilt titling to front and spine, the latter a little dulled. A nice copy of an important work. 12mo. 260pp
