Two volumes comprising volumes 1 and 2 of History of the College And Collegiate Church, Manchester, the second volume being An Architectural Description by John Palmer, bound to the rear of which is the 1828 History Of Manchester School, by Whatton. Numerous engraved proof plates on india paper mounted to thick card leaves, lacking a main title page for the complete work, but titles to each part. Some spotting to plates, bookplates, top edges gilt, 20th-century half calf a little worn to edges. Five raised bands and gilt titling to spines. Folio. Heavy volumes so postage will be above usual 1kg rate. This is a charity sale on behalf of Friends of Morston Church (reg.1099831)
