Hard to find novel from the prolific and wide-ranging author Valentine (aka Archibald Pechey, and father of Fanny Cradock, no less). Light toning to stock, but otherwise all is in VG internal order. No inscriptions. Smart green cloth with black titling a little worn to corners and foot of spine. Good unclipped d/j dulled and well worn to edges, with minor loss to head and foot of spine. 12mo. 317pp + publisher's ads.
