Description

Third printing (February 1920) of the first edition (December 1919) of Gaugin's remarkable account of his life and work in Tahiti, as translated from the French by O F Theis. Lacks frontispiece portrait. Stock toned, but otherwise all in good internal order. Label of noted NY book store The Sunwise Turn to rear pastedown. Binding opening a little at front hinge, but all holding well. Brown paper-covered boards bumped, marked and worn. Likewise cream cloth spine with chipped a and darkened paper title label.
