Description
The engaging periodical record of the Poetry Project at St Mark's Church-In-The-Bowery, described by editor Waldman as "always too big, messy, uneven, democratic, inclusive, raw, and even boring at times...arty, political, experimental, classy, corny, unaligned." The roster of contributors was extensive. This November-December 1969 issue includes Ashbery, Benedict, Berrigan, Brainard, Carroll, Clarke, Craven, Elmslie, Malanga, Schuyler, Saroyan, Veitch, et al, and is dedicated to Jack Kerouac. Pictorial wraps by Donna Denis. Foolscap format, duplicated typescript stapled. All in VG internal order. Covers a little toned, moreso to rear. Folio. Unpaginated.
