Engraved frontispieces to both volumes, these and title pages rather foxed, but thereafter all is generally clean and bright, if lightly toned. Bookplates of Royal Holloway College to front pastedowns, the first inscribed 'Presented by Miss Sloane, 1898'. Bar a number written in pencil to title verso, no internal indication of library/institutional use.
