Shipley's north east London novel, wherein our heroine goes to Chingford. Occasional foxing, heavier early and late, but generally all is in VG internal order. Tissue-guarded frontispiece of Chingford Old Church. Front endpapers splitting, but all holding firm. Gilt to all edges of block. Smart orange cloth with embossed red, brown and gilt decoration and titling, a little worn to edges, moreso to lightly faded spine.
