Description

Early treatise on the manufacture and use of plastics, with 44 illustrations. Stock toned, but otherwise all in generally good internal order. Title page blind embossed with stamp of The Chemists' Club Library [of New York] and its attractive bookplate to front pastedown. This volume is in the publisher Hartleben's technical chemistry series and a catalogue for that is bound in at the front of the volume, but is detaching from main block. Fep, which shows some library markings, is already detached as is rear free end paper and final page of text. Embossed brown boards, with dulled gilt titling to front, are well worn to edges. Spine is bound with strip of stiff paper/vellum with title and accession number hand lettered. A reading rather than a pristine copy, but a rare first edition example of this title, reprinted since. German language. 12mo. xxiv, 279pp
