In which Uncle Ned, "freshly arrived in London from twenty-five successful years in a tropical British colony, is ideally suited to the business of working out the problems of an interesting young nephew and niece" according to the New York Times's generally positive review of Mackail's 1936 novel. Stock lightly toned, but otherwise all in VG internal order. No inscriptions, but plate to front pastedown notes that this copy is from the Sotheby's Chatsworth Attic Sale of October 2010. A little wear and light marking to green boards with gilt titling to spine. Hard to find. 12mo. 316pp
