Largely, and unjustly, forgotten, Denis Mackail was once extremely popular, producing a novel a year to warm response. This is his 1932 outing. Stock lightly toned, but otherwise all in VG internal order. No inscriptions, but plate to front pastedown notes that this copy is from the Sotheby's Chatsworth Attic Sale of October 2010.
