Excellent collection of HE Bates short stories with a surprising and positive preface by Henry Miller. Spotting and toning to edge of block, occasionally intruding onto pages, but for the most part all in good internal order. Green boards rather worn to edges and a little shaken. G- unclipped d/j, worn to edges with some closed tears and loss at head and foot of spine, now in removable protective sleeve.
