First printing of the first part of Mackenzie's popular Altar Steps Anglo-Catholic trilogy. Spotting to edge of bock and toning to endpapers, but in general good internal order otherwise. Former owner's name neatly to fep and plate to front pastedown noting that this copy is from the Sotheby's Chatsworth Attic Sale of October 2010. Boards are well worn, especially to edges of spine, where cloth is split. Best thus regarded as a reading copy. 12mo. [8] 363pp
