Description
First edition of Benson's short novel, with interesting preface contextualising it after the outbreak of war. Stock toned, but otherwise in VG internal order. Green silk bookmark a little frayed. Plate to front pastedown notes that this copy was included in the Sotheby's Chatsworth Attic Sale of October 2010. Full green leather binding with bright gilt titling, faded and rather worn with loss to upper board. 16mo. xii, 135pp
