Description
This 'history' of Tower Bridge was published in the year that it opened, but as well as much about its design and construction (from engineer Barry), the volume also includes more about the general history of Thames bridges and the Bridge House Trust dating back to the 12th century. Well illustrated throughout with numerous tissue-guarded plates. Some light toning and occasional marking, but for the most part all in VG internal order. Gilt-decorated burgundy cloth with black half leather boards, well worn to edges and with some surface wear/marking. 4to. x. [2] 284pp
