Description
Preface by Deneys Reitz. An account of South Africa's (Second World) war effort, "from the state of unpreparedness in September 1939, to the triumph of to-day when she has put a complete army into the field". There is toning early and late and some spotting to the edge of the block, intruding in particular on the first and last few pages, but for the most part all is in VG, clean internal order, with photographs showing well. No inscriptions. Smart orange boards show minimal wear, but a little light bumping to lower edges and slight fading at top. Good unclipped Bip Pares designed d/j, toned, worn to edges and faded to spine. 12mo. 256pp
