Description
First UK edition of poetry "most representative of the new America, the America of smoke and steel, of wide prairie land and rolling cornfields". Toning and a little foxing to endpapers, but otherwise all in VG internal order. Smart dark orange cloth, dulled to edges, with gilt titling to spine. Fair unclipped d/j, worn to edges and rather grubby. Don't let that put you off though! If you are new to Sandburg he is an excellent discovery, and this collection edited and with a preface by Rebecca West, is a very good place to start. 12mo. 287pp
