Description
The master of true crime writing presents a selection of cases, with eight illustrations. Stock lightly toned, but otherwise all in VG internal order. No inscriptions. Curiously, though this is the W Green & Son first printing, it is bound in Cassell & Co boards. Cassell published Roughead's work from the 1930s onwards, suggesting that for this volume they acquired unbound existing sheets and bound them up. Cloth a little marked and well worn to edges. Boards lightly shaken. 8vo. xiii, 259pp
