The Magician of Messkirch

The Magician of Messkirch contains a play of the same name exploring the relationship between German philosopher Martin Heidegger, his student Hannah Arendt and the poet Paul Celan, together with 'Supernumerary', a long poem showing that both art and science point to the infinity of the creative process, and 'Maundy Money', a satirical sketch inspired by the MPs' expenses scandal in the early 2000s but set in the Lloyd George era. Wayne Perry is a retired doctor who explores in his writing the literary disciplines that illuminate the human condition.
