First thus, a reprint of the 1878 edition, with an introduction and extensive notes by J H Davidson. It presents a fascinating, detailed and wide-ranging survey, at a time when South Africa was of little interest in Britain. Would be VG, but there is a little spotting to the first few pages. Otherwise in VG internal order throughout. Former owner's name to front pastedown.
